Learn about the restoration project

The Ipswich Society Winter Talks programme at the Museum Street Methodist Church is starting up again on October 20th with a talk on the restoration of the Ipswich Unitarian Meeting House by Stuart Edgar of KLH Architects – the lead consultant on the project. Our Grade I Listed Meeting House was put on the Heritage at Risk Register in 2018 and Stuart will tell us the story of its restoration, completed by May 2021, including illustrations from the original investigation report and the craftsmanship and skills involved in the completion of the project.

The talk is free and all are welcome. Just a reminder that the Methodist Church is accessed via Blackhorse Lane and, due to covid-19 precautions there, we are requested not to arrive before 7pm for a 7.30 start. The venue has also asked for an idea of numbers in order to organise seating as safely as possible, so please could you contact the Ipswich Society Secretary (secretary@ipswichsociety.org.uk) if you wish to attend.
